Phoenix Netball Club first started in January 2022 as a Back to Netball training session, providing women with the opportunity to return to the sport, improve their fitness, and enjoy netball in a fun and supportive environment.

​

As numbers grew, so did our ambitions. We began entering local leagues, arranging friendly matches against other clubs, and creating more opportunities for players to compete and develop. To help teams gain valuable match experience against others of a similar standard, Phoenix also launched its own internal league.

​

With continued growth in both ability and membership, we expanded our adult programme by introducing additional training sessions, offering more advanced coaching and opportunities to play in competitive leagues. What started as a small group quickly became a thriving netball community built on friendship, support, and a shared love of the game.

Following the success of our adult section, Phoenix Juniors was launched in June 2024. Our junior programme has continued to grow rapidly, providing young players with high-quality coaching, competitive opportunities, and a positive environment in which to develop both on and off the court.

​

As the club continued to grow, we recognised the need for a larger vision and greater opportunities for our members. In 2026, Phoenix Netball Club became part of the Wrexham City Foresters family. This exciting partnership allows us to remain the same club at heart, with the same coaches, values, and community spirit, while benefiting from the support, resources, and long-term vision of a wider multi-sports organisation.

Now competing as Wrexham Foresters Netball, we are committed to continuing the incredible journey that began in 2022. Our goal remains the same: to provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy netball, develop their skills, make lifelong friendships, and be part of something special.
